Good Morning America...
Wow...what a whirlwind today was...
The story starts yesterday when we received a call from the media representative at UCLA (where my daughter had surgery to repair her brain aneurysm). He wanted to know if it was okay to put her story "out on the wire" but not to get our hopes up to have it picked up...maybe a local paper would, but he'd let us know.
We get a call less than 24 hours later that her story was picked up...by ABC's Good Morning America! Wowsa! So, after what seemed like a million telephone calls, the film crew arrived and set up. Two hours of preparation and filming later, we were all done. I only cried once (which for me is a record when it's as emotional an issue as my daughter's brush with death). The film guys were charming and gave us lessons in lighting and even let us see ourselves on the monitor (oohhh). So, my daughter and I will have our fifteen minutes (actually it'll probably only amount to about 2 minutes) of fame tomorrow.
Hope you can tune in.

Bad, Bad, Blogger
Oh my... I am truly a very bad blogger. I can't believe it's been this long since I've stopped in the chat.
I'm sorry for the incredibly long absence. My only excuse is life, writing, edits, more edits, more writing, and more life.
For instance, today. I went to the mall Friday night to buy a b-day gift for one of my daughter's friends (I call her Tall Teen). I purchased some lovely undies and picked up a cold, free of charge. So, I've been dragging. But with three kids and a hubby, there's really no time to be sick.
I got Drama Teen and Kinderboy off to school, then hubby out the door with his hat and lunch. What I really wanted to do was to go back to bed. However, with my feisty four-year old, that wasn't going to happen.
I nuked a document (don't ask), went through my own set of edits for an upcoming release, sent out a handful of books for reviews (updating the spreadsheet as I went) and sent out review notices. Oops...a quick glance at the clock and I realize it's time to pick up Kinderboy at the bus.
Then there's lunch. After lunch, the boys played outside while I tried to write a little. Actually, I stared at the blinking cursor and brainstormed, but it all counts, right? Drama Teen arrives home from high school just about the time Feisty 4 comes in and says the dog is licking at his stitches (another long story). I call in Wonder Dog and low and behold, he's pulled out all his staples despite wearing that ridiculous white cone.
Emergency trip to the vet...come home, start dinner, chaperon Drama Teen and her ex-crush as they "hang out", coordinate dog pickup with hubby, then realize there's still laundry in the dryer.
Well, you get the picture.
My promise is to stop in here at least once a month with some sort of news or just a rambling tale of woe.
So....how was YOUR Monday?

Who is. . .
salvatore difalco and why is he the highest search word query for my website?
Other people that I haven't a clue how I'm linked to were:
mark lavorato, andrea rudy, shaun jeffrey, domenico capilongo, and fran nelling!
Some others that had me tickled were:
babysitting for her was so erotic -- really, I had no idea!
foreword to the broken wings -- hmmm
Moose lookit island and main and map -- never been to Maine, although I once said I wanted to go there on my honeymoon.
And last but not least:
uncle rabbit uncle tiger story!
So. . . what weird search word queries show up on your website?
